We worked with the East-London based urbanism consultancy formerly known as 'Urben', to rebrand as Tapestry; conceiving a craft-orientated brand identity which celebrates their community focused practice. The new identity orientates around a suite of unique hand-printed elements. Key to these is the 't' monogram; a mark which deconstructs into a freely adaptable set of components, playfully brought to life across their brand collateral. Both innovative and contemporary in their outlook, Tapestry's work is closely informed by the rich legacy of 20th century art and design practice, drawing inspiration in everything from the freeform spirit of abstract-expressionism to the printer's block. The distinctive livery contrasts pastel tones with ink-black, off-setting fine typographic details against bold block-print. This hand-crafted sensibility is complimented by naturalistic photography exploring the notion of 'human-traces'; the imprint of interaction between people and the built environment.
